Hi Compass fans,

Well we have now sent the mastered cd off to the printers and we are all very proud of this album. It builds on the eclecticism of the first Tango project with fantastic compositions by Jeremy Rose and Sandy Evans and amazing collaborations with two amazing Indian musicians – Bobby Singh (Tabla) and Sarangan Sriranganathan (vocals and sitar).

Indian Project recording update…

Well after a year of unavoidable delays, the Compass Quartet finally recorded our much anticipated Indian project on the weekend! The album features the music of Jeremy Rose and Sandy Evans with guest artists, Bobby Singh (Tabla) and Sarangan (Sitar). Below is a little taste from the recording…completely un-edited grab from the ending of one of Jeremy’s pieces…we hope to release the album by the end of the year!

We will be playing material from our first and recent CD release – ‘ABRAZO TANGO’, released earlier this year on Tall Poppies, and also new pieces by Sandy Evans, Tony Gorman, Jeremy Rose and Ben Walsh.
